Katharine Johnsen holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she received the Bernice Kert Fellowship, and a BA in French Studies and Playwriting from Emory University. She is the recipient of a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Prize and a scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Five Points, American Literary Review, Southern Indiana Review, Tupelo Quarterly, and elsewhere. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
